Finding events

Open JOL and head to Explore to scroll a live feed of what's on near you, or switch to the Map to see events as circles sized by how many people are going. Allow location access to see what's happening closest to you, and use the chips and search to filter by vibe.

RSVPing & your crew

Tap an event to see the details and tap RSVP to mark that you're going. Add friends as your crew to see which events they're hitting and message them to lock in the plan.

Hosting an event

Tap Create, add a poster (or let JOL drop in a branded cover), set the time and place, choose who can see it — public, private or invite-only — and publish. As an organiser you can also boost an event to push it higher in the feed and on the map.

Reporting an event or user

We want JOL to stay safe. To report an event or a user, open it and choose Report from the options menu. Our team reviews every report and removes content that breaks our Terms of Service.

Blocking someone

Open a user's profile and choose Block. Blocked users can't message you or see your activity. You can manage blocked users in Settings.

Resetting your password

On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password and follow the emailed link. If you signed up with a magic link, just request a new one.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and personal information at any time from Settings → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

Is JOL free?

Yes — JOL is free to download, free to use, and free to list your events. Boosting an event to reach more people is the only optional paid feature.

Where is JOL available?

JOL is launching in South Africa first, starting with the major metros and growing from there.
